Whether a lost key job can be done depends on the vehicle

If you still have one working key, a replacement is usually straightforward and can be booked in with confidence.

If every key is gone, the answer is genuinely make and model specific. Some vehicles will accept a new key programmed on the driveway with nothing to start from. Others need workshop equipment, dealer security access or parts that no mobile van carries. Rather than guess, call with the make, model and year and you will be told plainly whether it can be done.

That conversation costs nothing, and it saves you paying for a callout that was never going to work.

Appointments are booked in advance. This is not a 24 hour or emergency callout service, and roadside lockouts are not covered. Call or message with your vehicle details and we will arrange a time that suits you.

What a replacement involves

Proof of ownership

Checked before anything is touched. V5C or equivalent, plus photo ID in the same name.

A new key cut

Cut to your vehicle from its key code or from the lock, depending on the make.

Programmed to the car

Coded to the immobiliser and tested by starting the engine.

Old key erased

Where the vehicle supports it, the lost key is removed from memory so it will no longer start the car.

Not covered

Locked out is a different job

Opening a locked vehicle is not something we do, at any hour. If your keys are shut inside the car, an auto locksmith who specialises in vehicle entry is who you want, and calling here first will only cost you time.

Once the vehicle is open, a replacement key is very much our department.

Questions

Lost key questions

I have lost all my keys. Can you help?
Sometimes. It depends entirely on the make, model and year. Some vehicles can be programmed on site with no working key present, others need equipment or access that a mobile visit cannot provide. Call before you arrange anything else and you will be told honestly whether yours is one we can do.
What if you cannot do my vehicle?
You will be told that up front rather than after a wasted callout, and pointed towards the sensible next step for that make.
Do you need proof the car is mine?
Yes, every time. The V5C or equivalent ownership paperwork plus photo ID that matches. No exceptions, on any vehicle.
Will the lost key still work afterwards?
On most vehicles the lost key can be erased from the immobiliser during the job, so a key that turns up later, or in the wrong hands, will not start the car.
Can you get to me today?
This is a booked appointment service rather than an emergency callout, so it depends on what is free. Call and you will be given the earliest realistic slot.
